I’m a photographer and video game software engineer based, currently, in Barcelona. I was born in León, Spain, in 1976 and I’ve been into photography from 2008 doing author photography.

In my photographs I seek to generate sensations, an experience. I am not interested in documenting or telling a story. I try to photograph the invisible of things. I think that in photographs there must be secrets and the way they manifest themselves depends on the inner world of the observer. Mystery, omen, the feeling of invisible presence, isolation or concern and surprise are recurring themes. I am very eclectic in my main motifs and I usually find my place in lonely areas.

Nowadays I work only in analog in my own darkroom. In the past I worked for more than 10 years in digital. In any case always in black and white only. For me print my work is an essential part of the process.

In 2021 I auto-published my first photobook called "Hidden Reality", a work about the strangely familiar, the reality hidden in the everyday, through more than a decade of photographs (2008-2021). From the beginning the freudian’s concept of “unheimlich” was used as a reference when selecting and sequencing the photographs. The book is a search of the atmosphere and mystery closely related to the danger that, sometimes, dwells in the imminent or in what we do not fully understand.

Soy fotógrafo e ingeniero de software de videojuegos. Resido actualmente en Barcelona. Nací en León, España, en 1976 y llevo en la fotografía desde el 2008 realizando un trabajo de autor.

Persigo generar sensaciones, una experiencia. No me interesa documentar o relatar algo. Intento fotografiar lo invisible de las cosas. Pienso que en las fotografías han de existir secretos y que la forma de manifestarse dependen del mundo interior del observador. El misterio, el augurio, la sensación de presencia, de aislamiento o la preocupación y la sorpresa son temas recurrentes. Soy muy ecléctico en mis motivos principales y suelo encontrar en las zonas solitarias mi lugar.

Actualmente trabajo únicamente en analógico en mi propio cuarto oscuro. En el pasado trabajé durante más de 10 años en digital. En cualquier caso siempre en blanco y negro únicamente. Imprimir mi propio trabajo es parte fundamental del proceso.

En el año 2021 auto-edité mi primer fotolibro llamado "Hidden Reality”. Un trabajo acerca de la extrañeza en lo familiar. De la realidad escondida en lo cotidiano a través de fotografías realizadas durante más de una década (2008-2021). Desde el comienzo el concepto Freudiano de “unheimlich” fue utilizado como referencia para seleccionar y secuenciar las fotografías. El libro es una búsqueda de la atmósfera y misterio cercano al peligro que, a veces, habita en lo inminente o en lo que no acabamos de comprender.
